If you haven’t already seen our updated and redesigned web site, launched on June 15th, please take a moment to check it out at www.noshok.com.

Our goal was to present our company information and complete offering of measurement products to you in the most comprehensive and easy-to-navigate format possible. Instrument Swivel Adapter Adjusts Line Of Site

Digital Pressure Gauges

NOSHOK Swivel Adapters are used with gauges, transmitters and valves to adjust the line of site.

  • Rotates 360° to allow the connected instrument to be positioned in the desired orientation
  • The pressure connection is achieved with a tapered cone style compression fitting simply by tightening the swivel hex nut
  • Features all 316 stainless steel construction
  • Standard with 1/2" NPT male process – 1/2" NPT female instrument connections

2-Valve Static Pressure Block & Bleed Valves

NOSHOK 2070 Series 2-valve block and bleed hard seat valves combine isolating and venting in a single valve, eliminating the need for tubing and fittings. The block valve isolates the downstream process fluids, and the bleed valve exhausts upstream fluids enabling instruments to be removed without disturbing the permanent piping installation.

  • 10,000 psi pressure rating @200°F maximum
  • 1/4” NPT vent plug located 90° to the left, may be removed and replaced with exhaust piping to direct the fluids to a safe location
  • 1/2” NPT connection, M-F, F-F configurations available, right venting optional
  • Blow-out proof stem provides a secondary stem seal in the full open position
  • Viton® O-Ring and Teflon® back-up ring stem seals
  • All 316 stainless steel stems (even in steel valves) for extended service life
  • Stem and bonnet threads are rolled for strength and ease of operation

High Pressure Bleed Valves

NOSHOK 800/850 bleed valves provide a convenient means to relieve process pressures trapped between a shut off valve and the instrument.  These bleed valves use the same patented features as the NOSHOK 100/150 Series mini valves, with an integrated single threaded body for insertion in a vent port. 

  • Provides shutoff to a small bleed hole located on the side of the hex which vents to atmosphere
  • Available in electroless nickel plated 12L14 steel, electropolished 316 stainless steel and 360 brass
  • Maximum pressure rating of 10,000 psi for steel and stainless models, and 6000 psi for brass models
  • Equipped with a Viton® O-ring and Teflon® back up ring below the stem threads to protect against corrosion and galling

Robust Sensors Play A Critical Role In Temperature Requirement Applications

In crucial temperature requirement applications, temperature sensors must be durable enough to withstand extreme high and low temperature ranges while providing highly accurate and clear temperature or temperature gradient measurement.

NOSHOK’s 850 Series Electronic Indicating Temperature Switch/Transmitter utilizes PT100 technology to provide continuous temperature monitoring, electronic temperature switching, and transmission of analog output of 4-20 mA while providing local digital indication.

These sensors are cost-effective, easy to integrate, and play a critical role in the functionality and maintenance of many complex temperature-dependant systems. Temperature transmitters convert a low-level (ohm or mV) signal to a standard 4-20 mA current signal that can be easily read by a monitoring and control system, like a CDS or PLC. 

Two buttons on top of the 850 allow simple adjustment of the temperature set points, reset points, switching functions and the measuring range of the optional analog output. Its convenient 330° rotatable display-head and 4-digit LED display allow easy reading in any location. This sensor also provides one of the widest measuring ranges available (between -300°F and 1100°F/ -200°C and 600°C) to cover the majority of temperature measuring and switching tasks.

A variety of stem lengths, which are also available with adjustable insertion lengths, add to the versatility of the NOSHOK 850 Series. All wetted parts, as well as its housing, are made of stainless steel for corrosion protection and durability.

There are a wide range of applications which can utilize this type of a transmitter/switch, including:

HVAC
The temperature switch monitors the heating and cooling circuit and with the pre-determined switch points keeps it operating at optimum efficiency.

Air Conditioning Technology   
The temperature switch in this application of large commercial or industrial size A/C units can be used to monitor the heat on the motor and cool or shut it down when exceeds set point.

Environmental Technology
In this industrial composter the temperature switch can monitor and sustain the temperature of above 131° F needed for sanitation but also allow sufficient oxygen airflow for aerobic degradation without dropping below that temperature.
Industrial Automation & Power Generation
I
n this application the engines coolant system can be monitored.  When the temperature increases to the switch point other motors turn on to reduce load on the original motor or take over.
Industrial Manufacturing
In this application there are a number of situations the switch can be used for, such as monitoring boilers, coolers, machine and metal temperatures.
Marine
In this re-circulating aquatic system, the temperature switch maintains the crucial temperature for good water quality as well as the health of the fish being raised for commercial consumption purposes.
Transportation
The temperature switch in this application monitors critical rail temperatures and alerts if any problems.

Hazardous Location Transmitters Receive CSA Single Seal Approval

Several of our hazardous location approved transmitters have received CSA Single Seal approval in accordance with ANSI/ISA-12.27.01-2003 specification. The approved transmitters are our 621/622 Series Explosion-Proof, 623/624 Series Non-Incendive, and 625/626 Intrinsically Safe Transmitters.

ANSI/ISA - 12.27.01-2003 “provides specific requirements for process sealing between electrical systems and flammable or combustible process fluids where a failure could allow the migration of process fluids directly into the electrical system.”

   
 

NOTICE: Diaphragm Seals Pricing

Effective immediately, all diaphragm seals with materials other than Carbon Steel or Stainless Steel will be priced on request or at time of order. These materials have become unpredictable and volatile, which makes negotiating costs uncertain. We will stay as close to our published prices as possible, and will update our next price list accordingly, but during this time it is impossible to honor the prices originally published in our current price list.

Q:
When is it recommended to use an orifice on a pressure gauge?
A:
Orifices are a type of snubber.  On pressure systems that have rapidly increasing or decreasing pressure spikes, orifices lessen the effects of these energy pulses by blocking the wave energy using restricted flow.  They are recommended in dynamic pressure applications with mild pressure spikes.
Q:
What is the difference between a transducer and transmitter?
A:
When these terms originated there was a distinctive difference between the two. A transmitter was referred to as an instrument with a current signal (i.e. 4 mA to 20 mA) and a transducer was referred to as an instrument with a voltage signal (i.e. 0 Vdc to 10 Vdc). As time has progressed these terms are now commonly interchanged for reference to either output signal.
