Social Media A Growing Trend In The Industrial Marketplace
Although research has shown that B2B social media is relatively slow to take off in
the industrial sector, new trends indicate that more and more companies and individuals
in this market are jumping on the social media bandwagon.
Social media is a tool that is still being honed in our marketplace, allowing industrial
companies to provide immediate and relevant information to their customers. But what are customers looking for, and where are they looking for it?
According to our own surveys and other research, the majority use LinkedIn but mostly for networking purposes. As for mainstream social media platforms, most are cutting their teeth on Facebook, with Twitter not too far in the distance. Other platforms are starting to gain traction, including Google+, Hi5 and
StumbleUpon.
Users want solid, meaningful content including new product information, blogs, product updates and technical videos, with relevant industry news and promotions thrown into the mix.
Although the industrial market has been hesitant in embracing it, in this information-on-demand environment signs indicate that social media will continue to grow in virtually every sector. It’s an excellent tool to connect customers and companies, create an open communication forum, and further enhance customer service capabilities.

NEW PRODUCT:
Type 5 Polymer Diaphragm Seal
Our new Type 5 Seal is ideal for wastewater and chemical feed applications, as well as most applications with a corrosive media. This seal protects pressure or vacuum instruments used on ultra-pure or highly corrosive fluid lines such as demineralized water, sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid, and caustics.
Applications include wastewater and chemical feed, deionized water systems, reverse osmosis systems, desalinization systems and electroplating.

Vapor Actuated Remote Thermometers
These thermometers indicate media temperature using a temperature-actuated liquid in the sensing element and a highly accurate, high quality pressure gauge. As the media temperature increases, the capillary fill fluid vaporizes, increasing pressure in the Bourdon tube to activate the movement and pointer for proper indication
Ranges are available from -40° to 60° F/C through 50° to 400° F/C, with bottom, back or lower back connections. Mounting options include front or rear flange, bezel, and u-clamp.

Busy Summer For The NOSHOK Soccer Team
The NOSHOK Co-ed International FC competed in local and out of state tournaments over the past three consecutive weekends. The team traveled to San Diego in early July for a two day tournament and lost in the semifinal match after outscoring all 56 teams in three matches the previous day.
The team then competed in the 2011 ERC Corporate Challenge in mid July for the third year and again went undefeated in all 5 matches for a third championship. Lastly, the team recently competed in a single day cash prize tournament against 14 college teams finishing up the morning group games 2-2 and securing a fourth seed for the single elimination tournament bracket in the afternoon.
After a grueling playoff run in the 90 degree afternoon sun, the team advanced to the championship match ending even at 0-0, forcing a penalty kick shootout with Case Western Reserve University to finish as runner-ups.
NCIFC improves its overall record to 83-13-3 since March 2008 and 31-4 for the 2011 tournament season winning four out of six championships. NCIFC would like to thank its corporate sponsors for their ongoing support. The NOSHOK soccer team is sponsored by Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, C.H. Robinson International, Frontline Soccer Shop, Global Technical Recruiters and Adecco.

| Q: |
What is the difference between the proof pressure and burst pressure transducer specifications? |
| A: |
Proof pressure, which is higher than the full scale pressure point, is the limit that you can go to without affecting the performance and calibration of the transducer. The burst pressure, on the other hand, is the limit that you can go to before there is pressure chamber rupture and damage. An overload limit specification used sometimes means that proof and burst ratings are identical. |

Job Interview Question
You are driving along in your car on a wild, stormy night. You pass by a bus stop, and you see three people waiting for the bus:
1. An old lady who looks as if she is about to die.
2. An old friend who once saved your life.
3. The perfect man (or) woman you have been dreaming about.
Which one would you choose to offer a ride to, knowing that there could only be one passenger in your car. Think before you continue reading. This is a moral/ethical dilemma that was once actually used as part of a job application.
You could pick up the old lady, because she is going to die, and thus you should save her first; or you could take the old friend because he once saved your life, and this would be the perfect chance to pay him back. However, you may never be able to find your perfect soul mate again.
The candidate who was hired (out of 200 applicants) had no trouble coming up with his answer. He simply answered: "I would give the car keys to my old friend, and let him take the lady to the hospital. I would stay behind and wait for the bus with the woman of my dreams".
Never forget to "Think Outside of the Box!"
