Custom Valve Solutions for the Oil and Gas Industry | Oil and Gas Measurement & Instrumentation

NOSHOK has over a half a century of expertise in providing custom valve solutions to the oil and gas industry.

One of the key process variables that are measured in the industrial market is flow. There is an ongoing requirement to measure and control flow rates of liquids and gases in most every process. Although there are several technologies now available to measure flow, the oldest and still most common way for flow measurement is to create differential pressure across an obstruction in the piping using an orifice plate. If the user knows the density of the media in the process or, if it's bore and the inside diameter of the pipe, an accurate volumetric flow can be recorded by measuring the differential pressure across an obstruction such as an orifice plate. with gases due to their compressibility, the user will want to measure both the static pressure and the temperature.

Most often, we see an orifice flange Union or orifice fitting installed as part of the piping system. Typically the space on top of the orifice fitting or orifice flange Union is where the valve components are very critical.

These valve components connect and control the media within the piping system to the measurement device, such as a DP transmitter, multivariable transmitter, or flow computer. These stabilized connector with interval valve serves as the primary block valve while stabilizing the weight of the valves and instrumentation assembled to them. NOSHOK’s stabilized connectors are available with or without interval valves .The dielectric kit insulates or prevents any static electricity from migrating from the typing or flow stream to the electronics above. The five-valve manifold serves as a secondary isolation valve for both upstream and downstream pressures. It also contains redundant equalizing valves for zero calibration checks to the transmitter or flow computer. The interval event valve allows for venting to relieve any entrapped pressure during maintenance operations.

The transmitter or flow computer is installed above the manifold path.

NOSHOK offers a wide selection of two, three, and five-valve hard and soft seat manifold valves in a variety of configurations. Common applications include static pressure, block and bleed, liquid level measurement, differential pressure measurement, power generation, and metering of natural gas. 90-degree angle and flare pattern configurations are available.

Backed by a 3-year warranty, NOSHOK valves are 100% helium leak tested to ensure out-of-the-box reliability. Contact NOSHOK customer support or a NOSHOK regional sales manager for more information or to discuss your custom-engineered solution.
